Miscellanea

The Victorian and Regency Music Rooms at Strangers Hall was the venue for their forthcoming exhibition ‘Miscellanea’ which explored various aspects of daily life and society during the Golden Age of Discovery and Invention, the Victorian Era.

From celebrating the lives of prominent women writers to the sinister practice of baby farmers, from taxidermy to shell collecting and herbariums, the exhibition wove a path through the abundantly ornate rooms, through ten individual works culminating in a surprise kaleidoscopic intervention in the Parlour.
